All countries that we ship to
have customs regulations that need to be heeded before we can facilitate
your move. Certain items will attract duty, payable by the owner.
For example:
Wines & Spirits
The surveyor will be able to advise you on import restrictions and
allowances. Duty will normally be payable. Including alcohol in
a shipment will often cause belongings to be inspected by Customs
- resulting in delays. We strongly suggest that you do not ship
alcohol, however, if you choose to do so, please refer to the applicable
Customs allowances.
Below are forms that need to be signed and returned to use before
we can deliver your goods. They are all available in PDF format.

United Kingdom
H.M Custom & Excise. Bringing your personal belongings to the
UK from outside the European Community (Form C3) and vehicles into
the UK (Form C104A). Please download and complete in blue ink. Sign
and date each page and mail them to Delahaye Moving. (You must not
ax this form, as UK Customs require an original signature).

Cyprus
As Cyprus is not yet part of the EU, there are certain differences
to observe within their customs and excise jurisdiction. You can

REMOVAL GOODS:

Original passports will be required to be sighted by customs to
establish proof of residency.
Customs Prescriptions:
Household and other effects (other than motor vehicles, ships and
aircraft) will be admitted free of duty and tax and without import
licence when meeting all of the following requirements:
- The goods are for your own personal use
First time immigrants:
- you are coming to New Zealand with the intention of taking up
permanent residence
- you have owned and used the goods before the date of your departure
for New Zealand
Returning New Zealanders:
- you have lived outside New Zealand for the whole of the 21 months
before your return to New Zealand
- you have owned and used the goods for the whole of the 21 months
before the date of your departure for New Zealand.
MOTOR CARS, MOTOR-CYCLES AND MOTOR SCOOTERS:
Documents required:

Drivers licence
Proof of Ownership for required period (e.g. Transfer of ownership
document)
Proof of purchase payment in full
Evidence if intended permanent residence in New Zealand
Customs Prescriptions:
Motor vehicles are subject to duty and G.S.T.
There is a concession which allows motor vehicles (including motorcycles
and motor scooters) to be imported free of duty and G.S.T.
This is not available to returning New Zealand residents unless
they have personally owned and used the vehicle on or before 21
June 1979.
In order to qualify for this concession you must be able to comply
on all the following requirements:
- You must arrive and forthwith take up permanent residence in New
Zealand for the first time.
- You must have personally used the vehicle for at least one year
before your date of departure for New Zealand or the date of its
shipment whichever is the earlier.
You must be importing the vehicle for your own personal use and
not for sale, gift or personal disposal in any other way.
You must be prepared to give a written undertaking that if you sell
or dispose of the vehicle within two years of the date of its importation,
you will pay an amount equal to the duty and G.S.T. which would
otherwise be payable
Canada
Removal of household goods::

Settlers (immigrants):
Settlers goods and automobiles were owned and in his/her possession
and use in the former country of domicile prior to his/her direct
removal from that country.
Former Residents:
They resume residence after an absence of not less than one year.
Effective June 3, 1980, any single item of personal or household
effects that was acquired after March 31, 1977, and is valued at
more than 10,000$ is subject to regular duty and taxes on the EXCESS
AMOUNT. This could apply to an automobile, travel trailer, boat,
private, aircraft, a piece of jewellery or anything else!
MOTOR VEHICLES:
Documents required:
Passport, registration, invoice and vehicle insurance
Customs Prescriptions:
Provided the motor vehicles meet the very strict federal safety
and emission standards, settlers may bring with them their cars,
motorcycles, snowmobiles, pick-up trucks free of duty and FEDERAL
taxes. However, provincial and territorial governments ALSO have
an interest in the licensing and regulating of motor vehicles. They
may impose a SALES TAX and may enforce their own safety standards.
