Once we have received your confirmation, an exact itinerary for your move is programmed.
On the arranged moving day, Delahaye Moving personnel will arrive at your home.
They will then proceed in preparing your goods for shipment. This is the next
and, undoubtedly, one of the most important stages in the relocation of your belongings.
It is also at this stage that you will understand why our slogan is DELAHAYE MOVING
. . . carefully.
Due to a very low staff turnover, we have been able to acquire very talented
and experienced packers. This, combined with the fact that we use only the best
packing material, means that your goods are in very safe hands; literally.
When at a residence, Delahaye Moving usually makes use of small teams so that
the inconvenience caused to you is minimised. All of your belongings are then
professionally packed, using a variety of specially designed products. These
include:
- Variously sized double-walled cardboard cartons used for packing linen,
books, cds etc.
- 5 ply paper blankets and laminated bubble-wrap used for the packing
of furniture.
- Suspending wardrobe cartons used for transporting suits and dresses.
- Plastic or Cardboard double and single mattress covers.
- Made-to-measure wooden crates for extremely fragile items.
Only once all of your goods have been packed is it time for your belongings
to be loaded into the specified vehicle. Moves to European destinations will
normally be undertaken by one of our modern, privately owned lorries. Part or
all of the team responsible for the packing of your goods will accompany your
move through to its final destination. In this way you will be meeting with
already familiar faces at your new home, who will be aware of your needs and
those of your belongings.
Removals destined for more far off locations are loaded directly into an export
shipping container; the container then being transferred to an export berth,
for direct shipment to its destination. Once arrived at the specified port of
call, they will be handled by one of our trusted associates. These are colleagues
who we have met personally on several occasions and in whom we have a great
professional respect.
